Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Fiscal Year 2015-16 award of Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) Agreement and Contract No. 2015-262 between the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Pinal County Attorney’s Office to support a Specialized Victim Services project under the Pinal County Attorney’s Office Family Advocacy Center program by providing funds for onsite victim services to victims of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking. The grant program is anticipated for a period of three years and the current award contract includes first year project funding of $172,438 with subsequent annual funding available via renewal application. This federal grant funding consists of monies for equipment, supplies, training, travel, professional services and personnel expenses including two full-time Victim Advocate positions (Position #2721 and #2722). The award requires a fiscal year 2015-2016 budget amendment to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 156 (Aty-Prob/Stop Violence Agnst WMN) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations.
