Discussion/approval/disapproval to limit the application of the Board of Supervisor's July 12, 2017, approval of a half percent discretionary pay increase, to take effect January 1, 2018, as follows: 1) Employees on probation as of December 31, 2017 are ineligible. 2) Part-time or temporary employees are ineligible and will not be factored into the salary amount (to include vacant positions). 3) Departments or elected officials that choose to allocate the increase equally among selected employees (i.e. the same amount to each employee) only have to submit a memo to HR indicating the employee(s) name and amount. 4) Departments or elected officials that plan to allocate differing amounts to selected employees must submit to the Board of Supervisors, through County HR, a list of employees names, position, current salary and proposed increase and a statement of justification for the individual amounts. 5) Pinal County Personnel Policy section 4.25 D 4 limiting increases to once per year is suspended for purposes of the January 1, 2018, approved half percent discretionary pay increase. 6) Employees s elected for a half percent discretionary pay increase that are at the maximum of their pay range will either: a) Be allowed a one-time payment, e qual to the amount proposed, but said payment shall not be permanently added to the employee's salary. b) Leaving PCPP 4.25.D.5 prohibiting increases above the maximum in place and employees at the maximum are ineligible for an increase.
