Discussion/approval/disapproval grant award 2019-PTS-038 between the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $46,000. The additional funding will be used to purchase one fully equipped police package vehicle. The purchase supports and enhances the Selective Traffic Enforcement (SPEED) and Impaired Driving (DUI) programs in Pinal County. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 18/19 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 116 (Sheriff/Traffic Safety) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Discussion/approval/disapproval of grant award 2019-PTS-039 between the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $60,000. The additional funding will be used for Overtime and EREs to enhance Selective Traffic Enforcement (SPEED) throughout Pinal County. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 18/19 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 116 (Sheriff/Traffic Safety) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Discussion/approval/disapproval of request by the law firm Jennings Strouss for conflict waiver and consent for representation of New Leaf in issues related to personal property tax reporting, assessments and collections. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Gila River Indian Community Grant Award in the amount of $15,000 ($5,000 per year for three years) and the related budget appropriation for a FY 18/19 budget amendment transferring reserve appropriation only from fund 213 (Grants/Project contingency) to fund 268 to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Said funds will be used to purchase two Remotely Activated Custody & Control Court Vests. The RACCC vests will be provided to PCSO for use on defendants appearing in the Superior Court. Approval of this item includes the creation of a new cost center in Fund 32 for the purpose of purchasing the vests and receiving the approved stipend ($2,600). Approval requires a FY 18/19 budget amendment to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 32 to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations.
