Discussion/approval/disapproval of Pinal County participating in the Family Counseling Program administered through Pinal County Juvenile Court Services as A.R.S 8.265 for FY20. The Family Counseling Program requires a County Cash Match in the amount of $8,307 which represents the portion awarded through the State Legislative formula allocation plan. The award of $33,229 is to be received from the Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts. Acceptance approves a FY 19/20 budget amendment to reduce the revenues and expenditures in fund 58 (Adult Probation/Support) returning capacity to fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) and reduces transfers for the grant match. Discussion/approval/disapproval of Pinal County Adult Probation accepting FY20 funding to support the State Aide Enhancement SAE program received by the Administrative Office of the Courts for the provision of services. This addendum requires the creation of 1 new Probation Officer position within cost center 2620213 that will be funded for 100% of the fiscal year, in addition a fiscal amendment to transfer reserve appropriation only from fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to increase/decrease revenues and expenditures. Discussion/approval/disapproval of Conciliation Court accepting funding to support the FY20 Court Improvement program which will require the creation of a new cost center created within fund 149 new cost center 2630500. This program's oversight was transferred from Juvenile Court Services to Conciliation Court. To further align the funding position #4385 fund 149 Cost Center 2613005 will be deleted and a new Administrative Assistant position will need to be created within fund 149 Cost Center 2630500. The award is received through the AZ Supreme Court for the provision of services. This addendum requires a fiscal amendment to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to increase/decrease revenues and expenditures. This request requires a FY 19/20 budget amendment transfer within the General Fund from cost center 1146 (Financial Stability Reserve) to cost center 2401016 (PCSO Law Enforcement) in the amount of $111,733. This is an ongoing program that provides mediation services in small claims cases, truancy cases, victim offender, etc. The IGA will commence on July 1, 2019 and end on June 30, 2020. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the creation of one (1) Sworn Sergeant position to focus on safety awareness and hazards as well as other duties as deemed necessary. This request requires a FY 19/20 budget amendment transfer within the General Fund from cost center 1146 (Financial Stability Reserve) to cost center 2401016 (PCSO Law Enforcement) in the amount of $111,733. In the future, the creation of this position should result in a net savings to the General Fund due to the reduction in liability claims and losses. (Mark Lamb)
