Discussion/approval/disapproval of a Project Sponsor Agreement with the Arizona State Parks Board for the Lost Goldmine Trail Assessment Maintenance Project. A recent assessment of the Lost Goldmine Trail was completed by a trail expert. As part of this assessment, several sections of the trail are in need of trail maintenance. This trail has seen a tremendous increase of use and this maintenance would make the trail more sustainable and safe for users. Most of the maintenance would focus on water drainage. This would include grade dips, check dams and armoring spillways. Work would be done by one of Arizona State Parks’ contracted crews and there are no fund transfers between the two agencies. The project will be scheduled for Fall of 2020 when the weather is cooler and trail crews are back in the field after the COVID- 19 pandemic. (Kent Taylor/Himanshu Patel) * Q. A recent assessment of the Lost Goldmine Trail was completed by a trail expert. As part of this assessment, several sections of the trail are in need of trail maintenance. This trail has seen a tremendous increase of use and this maintenance would make the trail more sustainable and safe for users. Most of the maintenance would focus on water drainage. This would include grade dips, check dams and armoring spillways. Work would be done by one of Arizona State Parks’ contracted crews and there are no fund transfers between the two agencies.
