Discussion/approval/disapproval to accept the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance (JAG) grant opportunity 2020-DJ-BX-0434 and authorize County Attorney Kent Volkmer to execute the grant agreement as the authorized recipient official. Project Title: "Digital Evidence Extraction and Analysis Equipment Program" request amount of $15,756 for the purchase of a Grayshift cellular phone unlock tool to enhance the investigative capacity of the PCAO Digital Evidence Unit in the analysis of cell phone and mobile devices recovered by law enforcement agencies as a result of interdiction activities. This is a Federal Funds Reimbursement grant for the award period of October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2021. (Kent Volkmer) * I. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the award agreement between the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, and the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for $50,000. The DUI Abatement award will support Personnel Services Overtime (OT) and Employee Related Services (EREs). Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 20/21 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 116 (Sheriff/Traffic Safety) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Discussion/approval/disapproval for the Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Phoenix, through the Phoenix Police Department, and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for $5,000. The award will be used to purchase a Laptop (Portable Forensic Machine), Hard Drive (Evidence Restorage Drive), and UC Investigators training (online). Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 20/21 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 203 (Sheriff's Grants) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Discussion/approval/disapproval for the approval of FY 20/21 Victim’s Right Program award Agreement No. 2021-052, between the State of Arizona, Office of the Attorney General and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for $12,300. The award will be reimbursement for 10% of wages/EREs, Postage, and Postage machine rental. Budget for $9,840 submitted with FY 20/21, award received was for $12,300 requesting an increase budget appropriation in the amount of $2,640. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 20/21 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 10 (General Fund) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Discussion/approval/disapproval to align the budget with the FY20/21 grant cycle award received by the Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts, to support the Adult Probation - AmeriCorps Program. Discussion/approval/disapproval of a FY 20/21 budget amendment increasing budget capacity on an ongoing annual basis in the Assessor's office in the amount of $49,200.
