Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit to the U.S. Department of Treasury a request for funding under Section 501(a) of Division N of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, Pub. L. No. 116-260 (Dec. 27, 2020) authorizes the Department of the Treasury (“Treasury”) to make payments to certain recipients to be used to provide emergency rental assistance for up to 12 months. Acceptance approves a FY 20/21 budget amendment to transfer reserve appropriation only to Fund 94 (Housing Dept Grants) in the amount of $2,306,311. Discussion/approval/disapproval of Intergovernmental Agreement between Pinal County and The Florence Unified School District #1, for the provision of School Resource Officer ["SRO"] Services. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 20/21 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 10 (General Fund) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. Acceptance also approves the creation of an additional Deputy Sheriff (classification P9009, grade 9) in the Sheriff's Office. (Mark Lamb)
Discussion/approval/disapproval of additional staffing and budget increases in the Treasurer's Office in order to provide services at the Treasurer's satellite locations. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 20/21 budget in the amount of $198,875 increasing one-time and ongoing expenditures in the Treasurer's Office. The budgetary increase will reduce to $175,400 in ongoing fiscal years. Acceptance also approves the creation of three Accounting Technician, Senior positions, one Accountant, Senior position one Tax Services Manager position and the elimination of two Treasury Assistant positions and the Tax Supervisor position upon filling the Manager position. Discussion/approval/disapproval the Pinal County Attorney’s Office requests the approval to accept the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family STOP Violence Against Women Grant Agreement No. ST-WSG-20-010121-16 between the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith, and Family STOP Violence Against Women Grant and Pinal County Board of Supervisors through the Pinal County Attorney’s Office to commence on January 1, 2021, and terminate December 31, 2021, in the amount of $124,994 to provide services to victims of crime with a 25% match contribution of $41,665 over the one year grant cycle, the creation of two (2) Victim Services Case Manager positions to be funded by the grant proceeds and an amendment to the FY20/21 budget, for the first half of the grant award, to transfer reserve appropriation from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 268 (Co Atty Misc Grants).
