(13) Discussion/approval/disapproval of an ongoing increase in the Clerk of the Board Office departmental budget. Approval of the increase will approve a budget amendment to transfer budget capacity from the general fund financial stability reserve to the Clerk of the Board Office general fund cost center and the creation of a Deputy Clerk of the Board (At-Will) position. The ongoing budget capacity needed annually will be $82,114 for salaries and employee-related expenses. The one-time budget capacity needed during FY 21/22 is $6,000 for furniture and equipment. The FY 21/22 budget amendment will be prorated to cover the expenses from the time in which the position is hired until June 30, 2022, which is anticipated to be $47,375. (Natasha Kennedy)
(14) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) grant award between the Arizona Department of Economic Security, the Arizona Administrative Office of the Courts and the Pinal County Superior Court, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, beginning September 30, 2021, through September 30, 2022, for a total of $83,191. A participant match is not required. The award will be used for salaries, EREs, training and operational costs for the PCSC/Housing Department Stability Coordinator. Acceptance approves the creation of one (1) Program Coordinator position and requires an amendment to the FY 21/22 budget, for Year one (1) of the grant award. Future years of the grant award will be included in future budget adoptions. It is also requested that a new cost center, specific to this grant, be created. (Todd D. Zweig)
(15) Discussion/approval/disapproval of an ongoing increase in the School Superintendent's departmental budget. Approval of the increase will require a budget amendment to transfer budget capacity from the general fund financial stability reserve in the amount of $25,000 to the School Superintendent's general fund cost center. The additional $25,000 of ongoing budget capacity will ensure the department has the ability to hire staff that meet the needs of the department without spending more than what was allocated for the department. (16) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Pinal County Attorney’s Office request to create a new job classification and position of Family Advocacy Center (FAC) Forensic Interviewer Lead. The position will perform forensic interviews and provide backup and support to the Forensic Advocacy Center Manager. The position will be funded through the elimination of a Family Advocacy Center Forensic Interviewer position (Job Code: P9020, Grade: 09) and has been included in the FY 21/22 adopted budget.
