(14) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the sale of an Animal Control Truck to Huachuca City Police Department for the amount of $1.00. This truck a 2005 GMC double cab truck #21426 which was going to be auctioned and is not being used by Pinal County Animal Care and Control. (15) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the request to create new position classifications to meet the current staffing needs of departments in order to provide necessary services. Funding for these new positions is included in the respective department’s budget except as noted. Veterinary Assistant (Animal Care and Control) Guardian Investigator (Public Fiduciary) Deputy Director (Human Resources) Clinical Liaison (Superior Court) Approval of the Clinical Liaison position accepts a budget amendment to the FY 21/22 budget to transfer budget capacity from the general fund financial stability reserve to the Superior Court general fund cost center. The ongoing budget capacity needed annually for the Clinical Liaison is estimated to be $65,242 for salaries and employee-related expenses (EREs). The budget amendment for FY 21/22 will be prorated to cover the personnel expenses from the time in which the position is hired until June 30, 2022, which is anticipated to not exceed $17,565. (16) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a contribution from Pinal County to the Pinal County Water Augmentation Authority (PCWAA) in the amount of $25,000. There is sufficient budget contingency in cost center 2000210 (BOSF - BOS Public Support) for the payment. (Angeline Woods/Stephen Q. Miller)
(17) Discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 022322-CHIPS to urge the Arizona Congressional delegation and the U.S. Congress to swiftly fund the semiconductor manufacturing programs authorized in the "Creating Helpful Incentives for the Production of Semiconductors for America Act" (CHIPS). (18) Discussion/approval/disapproval to repeal Resolution No. 032020-LSE, Resolution of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors Declaring a Local State of Emergency issued March 20, 2020. This Resolution was issued, among other reasons, as a result of the COVID -19 state of emergency declared by Governor Douglas A. Ducey on March 11, 2020. The County Resolution, pursuant to A.R.S. 26-311 authorized the Chairman, during the emergency, to govern by proclamation and have the authority to impose all necessary regulations to preserve the peace and order of unincorporated areas of the county and preserve the public health and safety of the County.
