(2) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Pinal County two (2) applications for Fireworks Display of Pyrotek Special Effects Inc. to conduct two (2) firework displays at Country Thunder West located at 20585 E. Water Way, Florence, Arizona 85132. Permit for two (2) supervised firework displays on the following dates: Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 9:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. The Office of Emergency Management recommended approval with Stipulations for each application outlined in the attached memo dated March 23, 2022. (3) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the FY2022 Pinal County Employee Compensation Plan: One-Time Retention Incentive Payment, to help curtail the number of voluntary resignations which have increased substantially in recent months. It also seeks to alleviate some of the recent market and inflationary pressures faced by our valued workforce; acknowledge the extraordinary County and Judicial Branch employees who maintain essential services for Pinal County and our community; as well as, signify the first of a series of efforts which will be undertaken to promote the retention of all our essential workers. Approval authorizes the Finance and Budget department to amend the FY 21/22 budget to transfer funding from the general fund financial stability reserve to departments that need additional funding to cover regular salaries and associated employee related expenses for eligible employees to cover the costs of the plan. (5) Discussion/approval/disapproval of funding the approved Pinal County Health Benefits increase in FY 2022-2023 by increasing the employer paid contributions only. (Angeline Woods)
(6) Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(3) for legal advice regarding Vangilder v. ADOR/Pinal County et. al., CV-20-0040-PR/TX. (Kevin Costello/Kent Volkmer)
