Furthermore, the Pinal County Attorney’s Office requests for the Pinal County Board of Supervisors to declare the week of April 24th - 30th, 2022 as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. (6) BO. Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a grant application to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Program for $101,493.28. This grant will be used by the Pinal County Attorney’s Office to purchase non-capital equipment including laptops. (Kent Volkmer)
(6) BT. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the budget appropriation for the State of Arizona to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for AZ HB 2893. The funding is used to coordinate a reentry planning services program in the County jail that screens and assesses individuals booked into the jail and connects them with behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment providers. The total funding is $4,000,000. The Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 21/22 budget to transfer reserve appropriation only from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 278 (Sheriff Miscellaneous Fund) to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations. The appropriation is for $100,000. The remaining amount will be budgeted in future years. There is no impact on the General Fund. (Mark Lamb)

(6) AH. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Transfer of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA –Public Law 113-128) grant funds From the Dislocated Worker to Adult Program funding streams. WIOA services are offered under the ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County brand. In Pinal County, delivery of Adult and Dislocated Worker Program services are contracted through Equus Workforce Solutions. WIOA allows the transfer of funds between the WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker (DW) Program funding streams to allow Local Workforce Development Areas (Pinal County) the flexibility to provide services in areas of greatest need. The Pinal County Workforce Development Board approved a request for the transfer of Program Year 2020 funds in the amount of $327,258 from its Dislocated Worker Program allocation to its Adult Program funding stream. These funds expire on June 30, 2022. Transfer of such funds will allow ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County to continue to invest in Pinal County citizens who are eligible for Adult Services. Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity grant program for $25,000,000. This grant will be used by the Public Works Department to build a four mile parkway facility from the State Route (SR) 24 extension to Ocotillo Road. This access-controlled facility will improve regional mobility, address existing and future population and employment growth, and provide an alternative route to avoid congestion. (6) BV. Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a grant application to the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (DOHS) FY 2022 Operation Stonegarden for $4,702,204. This grant will be used by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for overtime, employee related expenses, mileage, travel, and aircraft equipment and maintenance to assist DOHS with border security by detecting, deterring, interdicting, apprehending, and prosecuting anyone identified, associated with, or involved in human and drug trafficking. Discussion/approval/disapproval of Award Agreement Operations Stonegarden Grant Program Equipment Award 19-AZDOHS-OPSG-190425-02 Amendment #2 between the Arizona Department of Homeland Security and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors. Amending the term of the agreement to end July 31, 2023. This grant is used to pay for the LPR annual subscription, aviation fuel, and helicopter upgrade equipment. This does not require a fiscal year budget amendment as the budget was approved in the FY 20/21 Final Budget. (Mark Lamb)

This grant will be used by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for overtime/ERE, mileage, and travel. No Budget Required for FY 21/22, Budget will be added to FY22/23 Budget.
