(2) Announcement: Supervisor Mike Goodman appointment of Mark Walker to the Open Space & Trails Advisory Commission. Mark Walker's term of Service shall be May 2022 through April 2026. (Natasha Kennedy)
(3) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a request by the Pinal County Economic And Workforce Development Department for the Board of Supervisors to declare the week of May 9th - 13th as Economic Development Week in the County. Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Development Council in 2016 in order to increase awareness of local programs and services that create jobs, advance career development opportunities and increase quality of life among our communities. In addition, the department seeks approval for a proclamation regarding Economic Development Week to be read during this meeting by Economic Development Director, James Smith. (James Smith)

(5) F. Discussion/approval/disapproval authorizing the county manager, upon review of legal counsel, to execute any and all documents between Pinal County and Solvay Chemicals, Inc. related to a training assistance agreement not to exceed $120,000. (Chris Keller/Leo Lew)
(5) M. Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a revised application to the Federal Aviation Administration/Department of Transportation, Airport Improvement Project Grant for $7,044,619.23. (5) P. Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a grant application to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission National Criminal History Improvement Program grant for $250,000 with a match of 10%. This grant will be used by the Pinal County Attorney’s Office to pay for temporary staff beginning January 1, 2023, ending December 31, 2024. (Kent Volkmer)
(11) Discussion/approval/disapproval of authorizing the Pinal County Sheriff to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the South Florence Volunteer Fire Department, subject to legal review, to provide courtesy notification of fire related calls to the Pinal County 911 System. (Kent Volkmer)

(7) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a donation to the Genesis Project of ten metal shelving units for a total of $1.00. The Genesis Project is a Pinal County non-profit who serves the hungry and homeless in the Apache Junction area. The shelves are located in Building D and will be used by the Genesis Project for their Community Resource Center. This item requires unanimous consent of the Board. Supervisor District #5. (8) Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval to submit the FY22 Annual Action Plan (application) to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the use of the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership, and Emergency Solutions Grant programs, for an estimated $2,580,000 and authorize the Chairman to sign federal form SF424 once HUD has provided the final funding allocations. This grant will be administered by the Finance Department to complete a variety of projects including: public infrastructure, housing development, services for persons experiencing homelessness, and administrative expenses including Finance and Housing Authority staff.
