(19) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the pay structure and salaries assigned to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) Law Enforcement and Detention Step Plans. Approval of this item also approves a fiscal year 2022 - 2023 budget amendment from the general fund financial stability reserve to salaries and EREs in the Sheriff's Office. (20) Discussion/approval/disapproval to allow exempt staff to work an overtime shift in the adult detention center, at straight time pay, when necessary to cover leave time taken and vacancies in the detention officer and detention aide ranks. This supplemental resource provides the flexibility needed to ensure the safety and security of the jail by helping to limit the amount of overtime required of existing detention officer staff and by supporting continued operations without the need to lockdown sections of the jail. The cost for the overtime pay is covered by vacancy savings. (Mark Lamb)
