(3) Discussion on Canada Arizona Business Council projects update by Holly Estrada Mechsner and Glenn Williamson. (James Smith/Leo Lew)
(4) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a Proclamation of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors proclaiming April 26, 2023, as “Pinal County Town Hall Recognition Day” in Pinal County. Proclamation will be read by Donna McBride. (Natasha Kennedy)
(5) Announcement: During the annual National Association of Workforce Boards' Forum held in Washington D.C. in March of 2023, the Pinal County Workforce Development Board was presented with the Trailblazer Award for its continual assessment, alignment, and advancement of core workforce development services which have maximized the community impact of the Boards work, producing entirely new training, recruiting, and career opportunities for workers and employers in Pinal County. (13) Discussion/approval/disapproval of an amendment to the FY 22/23 budget to transfer reserve appropriation from Fund 10 (3311005 GF Contingency) to Fund 10 (Elections) to increase expenditure appropriations to hire three election specialists and one server application supervisor. The amendment for FY 22/23 will be prorated from the time the positions are filled through June 30, 2023. The positions will be fully funded in the FY 23/24 budget development process. This request is to ensure that individuals who are hired are able to complete the Secretary of State Election Officer Certification training which will be held June 12 - 14, 2023. (14) Discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 042623-PFA a Resolution, pursuant to A.R.S. 14-5601A and the Arizona Code Of Judicial Administration SEC. 7-202E(2)(D), to appoint Fred E. Appel, as the Pinal County Public Fiduciary. The term of the appointment will be effective April 30, 2023. (MaryEllen Sheppard)
