Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation for the Multimodal Project Discretionary Grant (MPDG) Rural for the amount of $79,170,000. This grant will be used by the Pinal County Public Works Department to fund the first phase of the SR-24 Extension and Central Arizona Parkway project, which included the SR-24 Extension from Ironwood Drive to the Central Arizona Parkway (2.5 miles) and the Central Arizona Parkway from the SR-24 Extension to Ocotillo Road (3.7 miles). These two segments combined equal a total new freeway length of 6.2 miles. The project has an estimated total cost of $181,670,000 with $102,500,000 already committed from the State of Arizona's General Fund. Supervisor District #2. (AD23-004) (Tara Harman/Joe Ortiz)

(11) Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 2023-IUP-003-22, a Resolution approving case IUP-003-22, Ryan Properties LLC., landowner/applicant, Iplan Consulting, Jason Sanks agent requesting approval of an Industrial Use Permit to allow the continued use of an outdoor vehicle and equipment storage facility, on a 1.25± acre parcel in the Industrial (CI-2) Zone (PZ-C-043-81); situated in a portion of Section 6, T01S, R08E G&SRB&M, tax parcel 104-63-012U (legal on file) (located west of South Warner Drive and south of west Houston Ave, in the Apache Junction area). (12) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a Grant of Access Easement to Central Arizona Water Conservation District (CAWCD) for the purpose of ingress and egress across Pinal County owned parcel located in Section 8, T1S, R8E. Supervisor District #5. (RD23-028) (Joe Ortiz)
(13) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a recommendation by the Pinal County Workforce Development Board (PCWDB) to increase the current board membership from 19 members to 23 members. As required under Section 107(c)(2) of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), each of Arizona's local workforce development boards were assessed for bi-annual recertification by the Arizona Department of Economic Security - the WIOA state grantee. On June 1, 2023, the Workforce Arizona Council (state workforce development board) recertified the PCWDB. The recertification assessment recommended that the PCWDB pursue filling a vacancy with a labor organization representative. In order to fulfill this recommendation and to comply with the local workforce membership formulas as prescribed by WIOA, the PCWDB is requesting an increase in its number of board members to a total of 23. (14) Discussion/approval/disapproval of a donation to the Maricopa Consolidated Water Improvement District (MCWID) of one 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 and one 2007 GMC Canyon, surplus vehicles from the Pinal County Fleet Department, for a total of $2.
