Discussion/approval/disapproval of Resolution No. 070324-RD24-006 accepting a Substitute Third Party Trust Assurance Agreement No. 2401 and releasing the Subdivision Improvement Performance Bond No. 4138031, associated with Bella Camino, located in Section 17, Township 3 South, Range 8 East. AJ. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Lease Agreement between the Town of Florence (Lessor) and Pinal County (Lessee) for the use of Town of Florence owned property, located at 121 W. 22nd Street, Florence, Arizona 85132. The Property will serve exclusively for facilities administration and storage operations. The lease duration is one year, automatically renewing for successive one-year terms unless either party terminates with a 90-day notice. Supervisor District #4. (GA24-002) (Joe Ortiz)
AQ. Discussion/approval/disapproval for Pinal County to opt in and accept the Kroger National Opioid Settlement Agreement and authorize the Chairman to execute all necessary documents. (Chris Keller/Kent Volkmer)
AX. Discussion/approval/disapproval for Sergeant Roderick Harrison S57/1323 who will be retiring from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO), effective August 3, 2024. Sergeant Harrison S57/1323 has requested that, in compliance with established precedence and protocol, he be permitted to purchase his PCSO issued duty weapon(s), identified as Glock 47 at $25 and Sionics AR15 at $330. Fair market value for Glock is approximately $420 and Fair market value for the Sionics AR15 is $330. Purchase of issued weapon(s) upon retirement is also in compliance with A.R.S. 38- 1115A which allows a law enforcement officer upon his/her retirement to purchase his/her issued weapon(s) at a price determined by the administrator of the agency. (12) Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Comprehensive Sign Review Package Case CSR-001-24, a comprehensive sign package to replace one monument sign with an Electronic Message Board Sign with a sign area of 62.5 square feet, for the Christ the Victor Church located at 6173 E Arizona Farms Rd, in Florence, east of the intersection of E Hunt Highway and E Arizona Farms Rd. The proposed signage includes an electronic message device not permitted under the Pinal County Sign Code without approval by the Board of Supervisors. (13) Discussion/approval/disapproval of 1st Amendment to Public Right of Way Use Agreement between Pinal County and Crown Castle Fiber LLC. This agreement amends an agreement previously approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 19, 2024, and will allow Crown Castle the use of Pinal County Right of Way for installation of fiber using their Rapid Connect technology. (14) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the pay structure and salaries assigned to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) Law Enforcement Step Plan. Approval of this item also approves a fiscal year 2024 – 2025 budget amendment from the general fund financial stability reserve to salaries and EREs in the Sheriff’s Office. (15) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the FY2024-2025 Pinal County Employee Compensation Plan: Across-the-Board Salary Adjustments and Discretionary Performance, Market, Equity Adjustments, Premium Pay, and One-Time Awards. This Plan establishes guidelines for a five (5) percent across-the-board salary adjustment or five (5) percent one time lump sum for all eligible employees. This Plan continues discretionary pay categories currently in place. It adds a new pay category, i.e., Premium Pay, which provides temporary pay for duties performed beyond the scope of the employee’s job classification or performed under special conditions or circumstances. (16) Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval in accordance with A.R.S. 42-17104 and A.R.S. 42-17107 (Truth in Taxation Hearing) of Resolution No. 070324-01-PCB for the adoption of the Pinal County FY 2024 - 2025 budget, beginning July 1, 2024, ending June 30, 2025, in accordance with A.R.S. 42-17105 in the amount of $1,115,788,702 with a tax rate of $3.4500.
