(6) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the National Crime Victims' Rights Proclamation to declare the week of April 6 through 12, 2025, as "National Crime Victims’ Rights Week" in recognition of the ongoing national observance honoring crime victims. The proclamation is to be read by County Attorney Brad Miller, with an overview by PCAO Victim Advocate Jacqueline Lopez. (Brad Miller)
(7) Discussion/approval/disapproval of the National Public Health Week Proclamation, proclaiming the week of April 7 through 13, 2025, as "National Public Health Week." (Jan Vidimos/Merissa Mendoza)
(8) Approval/disapproval to retain outside counsel to represent the Pinal County Board of Supervisors with regard to whether the County Attorney has a conflict of interest or lack of harmony that precludes him from representing the County with regard to employment matters related to the County Attorney’s Office, and to take such steps as are necessary to determine whether the County can or should retain outside counsel. (10)I. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Memorandum of Agreement and authorize Emergency Manager Kore Redden to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County. The purpose of this memorandum is to establish a management agreement between the Pinal County Office of Emergency Management and the FEMA IPAWS Program regarding the utilization and security of the Pinal County Office of Emergency Management Interoperable System(s). The expected benefit is to enable information interoperability across emergency response organizations and systems as intended by the FEMA IPAWS Program. (Kore Redden/Merissa Mendoza)
(10)W. Discussion/approval/disapproval of Intergovernmental Agreement for Lease of U.S. Department of Defense Vehicle between Pinal County and Navajo County. The purpose of this Intergovernmental Agreement is to sublease DOD-owned Bell Model OH-58C Helicopter, S/N 71-20593, NSN 1520-01-020-4216, Property #20311AZ00004, Reg #N925AZ ("Vehicle") to Navajo for critical law enforcement operations. (12) Call to the Public— A "call to the public" is the time period for members of the public to address the Board of Supervisors to provide public input relating to subject matter within the Board of Supervisors authority or jurisdiction. Those wishing to address the Board of Supervisors need not request permission in advance. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling it for further consideration and decision at a later date.
(13) Public Hearing and discussion/approval/disapproval of Ordinance No. 2025-PZ-PD-015-24; Kristine Gay, RVi Planning (applicant/agent), on behalf of landowner – Queen Creek Senior Living LLC, requesting a Major Planned Area Development (PAD) amendment to existing amended PAD (PZ-038-21/PZ-PD-038-21) according to Section 2.176.260 of the Pinal County Development Services Code, to revise Stipulation #18 of Ordinance No. 2022-PZ-PD-038-21, from “The building/s on site shall not exceed one story and 36’ in height for architectural embellishments”, to “The building/s on site shall not exceed two stories and 36’ in height for architectural embellishments” in order to allow a partially 2-story building on approximate 5.93-acre property in Community Commercial Zoning District (C-2) located within SW corner of SE ¼ of Section 29, Township 02S, Range 08E, Tax Parcel 104-22-6830, at E. Combs Road and N. Encanterra Drive in San Tan Valley area, in the unincorporated Pinal County, AZ.
