Recognition of the Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office: Through the efforts of the Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office, the department was approved for full accreditation by the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) on June 19, 2025. Founded in 1966, NAME is a national professional organization for medical examiners and medicolegal professionals, representing the highest standards of practice in the field. Accreditation demonstrates that the office has met rigorous protocols, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring high-quality forensic death investigations. This milestone establishes Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office as the fourth fully accredited office in Arizona and one of only approximately 85 accredited medical examiner/coroner's offices nationwide, strengthening credibility and trust within both the medical and legal communities. 6. Presentation of the Housing Plan poster contest winners. Pinal County is completing a Housing Plan. During this process, we engaged the youth to draw a picture of what housing means to them. These pictures will be included in the plan. The winners are: #1 Makinze Rodriquez, #2 Irie Morales, #3 Ryder Robira, and #4 Fred Villa. (Heather Patel/Rolanda Cephas)

P. Discussion/approval/disapproval to accept the FY 25/26 Senate Bill 1735 appropriation to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office through the Pinal County Board of Supervisors beginning July 1, 2025, ending June 30, 2026, for $400,000. The award will be used by the Sheriff's Office to purchase an armored vehicle for Pinal County's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. Acceptance requires an amendment to the FY 25/26 budget to transfer appropriation from Fund 213 (Grants/Project Contingency) to Fund 203 (Sheriff's Grants) to increase revenues and expenditures.
