Discussion/approval/disapproval to waive attorney-client privilege of the legal opinion letter dated January 21, 2026, from counsel at Snell & Wilmer, who were engaged as conflict counsel to advise the Board of Supervisors regarding the legality of the agreement and the scope and functions authorized or delegated to the County Attorney's Office in a Memorandum of Agreement, 287(g) Task Force Model, dated August 28, 2025, that was entered into between the County Attorney and Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration & Customs Enforcement without prior Board authorization and present the findings to the Board. Discussion/approval/disapproval of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), 287(g) Jail Enforcement Model Memorandum of Agreement to update contact points and current elected officer, Sheriff Teeple, pursuant to which the Pinal County Sheriff's Office collaborates with ICE to enhance the safety and security of communities by focusing resources on identifying and processing removable aliens who have been arrested and booked into the Pinal County Jail. L. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the following appointment for Precinct Committeemen for the Democratic Party:
N. Discussion/approval/disapproval of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for Multi-Agency Pinal County Traffic Task Force between Pinal County, on behalf of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) and the Apache Junction Police Department (AJPD). The purpose of this agreement is to provide appropriate law enforcement action to enforce traffic laws, deter traffic violations and investigate traffic collisions and traffic-related crimes by a team of officers having specialized focus, training, skills, abilities, and resources desired to perform these law enforcement actions, as determined by the Sheriff and/or Chief of Police of the Department. 13. Call to the Public— A "call to the public" is the time period for members of the public to address the Board of Supervisors to provide public input relating to subject matter within the Board of Supervisors authority or jurisdiction. Those wishing to address the Board of Supervisors need not request permission in advance. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling it for further consideration and decision at a later date.
14. Discussion/conditional approval/disapproval of the Lease Agreement between Pinal County (Landlord) and the Town of San Tan Valley (Tenant) for use of County-owned property at 31505 N. Schnepf Road, San Tan Valley, Arizona 85143, for municipal offices and related functions. The lease term is month-to-month, terminable by either party with one hundred eighty (180) days' written notice. Pursuant to A.R.S. 11-256.01(B), Board approval is conditional pending the public notice period ending January 29, 2026, at 9:59 a.m. If no alternative bid is received by that time under A.R.S. 11-256.01(C), the condition is fulfilled, and the Clerk of the Board shall record the fully executed lease after 9:59 a.m. on January 29, 2026.
