G. Discussion/approval/disapproval of Vice-Chairman Serdy's appointment of Thomas E. Kelly, Gold Canyon, Arizona 85118, to the Law Enforcement Merit Council to serve out the term due to a current vacancy. Said term of service will be from February 5, 2026, through May 31, 2026. Supervisor District #5. (Natasha Kennedy)
R. Discussion/approval/disapproval to submit a grant application to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission FY 2027 Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) Program for an amount not to exceed $695,000, with a 25% match required. The match will come from the Reentry fund. This grant will be used by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office Reentry Program to support salary and fringe benefits for one employee, overtime and fringe benefits for four employees, and provide individual or group medically assisted substance abuse treatment activities for inmates in the jails, local correctional facilities, and reentry services. 10. PUBLIC HEARING CONSENT ITEM(S)
11. Discussion/approval/disapproval of renewal, revisions, or termination of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) executed September 6, 2023, between Pinal County Board of Supervisors and the Pinal County Recorder for election services previously renewed on February 7, 2024, and February 5, 2025. Pursuant to the MOU Section 2.0, "The parties agree to review this MOU at the Board's first regularly scheduled meeting in February, and then the Parties will review this MOU annually at the Board's first regularly scheduled meeting in February for as long as the Parties are operating under this MOU. The Board shall take action to renew, revise, or terminate this MOU at least yearly at its first regularly scheduled meeting in February when this MOU is being considered for renewal, revision, or termination."
